The locality of Arvi is one of the last natural wealth paradises of South Crete. With long tradition in the tillage of exotic banana, with St. Antonio's abbey at the edge of it's canyon and an illimitable sight that visually bosoms the Livic sea. Arvi is located close the other 2 well known places on this are: Keratokambos, 12km to west, and Tsoutsouros 23km western from Arvi.

The climate here is unique because the natural fortress of the pleural plateau halters the incursion of the north winds appointing Arvi's beach as the most leeward of the South Crete.

Its picturesque marina is there to emcee the tourist crafts that debouch at their nearest sea getaways at the warm blue that is indicated for winter tourism. There is also the small monastery of Agios Antonios, close to the Arvi gorge.
