Just 500m from from Chrisoskalitissa Monastery and 65 km far from Chania city, Aspri Limni beach still remains hidden by thousands of tourists who pass by in a hurry on their way to Elafonisi and Kedrodasos a little bit southern.

You can have access from the monastery through a good and passable dirt road which will lead you forward in this small beach without difficulty. The creek has formed a magnificent lake with scattered rocks at each point and it is surrounded by white sand.

In the area of ​​Aspri Limni, there is the westernmost place of existence of the palm tree Theophrasti (Phoenix Theophrasti), which has been described as a small reserve and is strictly protected.

The Cretan palm tree “Phoenix Theophrasti” is a small palm tree, endemic to the eastern Mediterranean region, with very limited distribution in a few areas of Crete.
