At the eastern side of the village you find Anatoli, a traditional taverna run by Nektarios Mastorakis and his mother Maria Mastoraki. They offer traditional and fresh food, all with stunning views along one of the most picturesque and unspoilt coastlines in east Crete. Situated in a secluded region far from the crowds of holiday makers and resorts found elsewhere, but just 20min drive from the town of Sitia with its beautiful streets and Fortress, handicraft and modern shops and the once weekly market. At Anatoli Taverna you enjoy the panoramic view to the Kambos plain and to the well known beaches of Kouremenos and Hiona and you can fall asleep to the sound of the Meltemi wind after a perfect meal of freshly caught and perfectly cooked fish and a carafe of local wine. The place is perfect for those whose idea of nightlife is counting the stars, and who don't need any special activity other than watching the Cretan landscape. Anatoli is a traditional taverna for travelers who want to enjoy a Cretan meal in an idyllic and quiet location. Other dishes include a range of grilled meats and traditional vegetarian dishes, including salads and other dishes. 150m south from Anatoli Taverna are the Anatoli rooms, owned by the sister of Nektarios, Chrisoula with five simple-but-comfortable balconied rooms, all with views to the beaches and mountains.
