Astraki or Neraidospilios cave is situated about 23 km from Heraklion, and 2 km far from the village of Astraki. It is a natural cave associated with many legends about fairies and witches. Nowadays, the cave has been constructed and its entrance is closed with a gate, so you cannot visit it.

The Trapeza Cave is located near Tzermiado village in Lassithi Plateau, by an altitude of 840 m, and is thought to be one of the oldest cave of worship in the Lassithi Plateau, East Crete. At the place called Halepa, 230m above sea level, 1500m northwest of Skotino village and 6 kilometres from Heraklion city, lies one of the biggest and more interesting caves of the prefecture; that of Agia Paraskevi. Its position is marked by a little white chapel which can be easily reached by car.
