The Old Kaloeithena Monastery is 43km southeast of Rethimnon. 2,5 km away from Ano Meros village by Amari Valley area, on the slope of Kedros by an altitude of 750m. The springs of the Monastery «Kaloeithena» are found here, from which the village gets its water.

The monastery of Kyra Eleoussa belongs to that of Agaranthou and is near the village of Voritsi, at the area of Gouves village - beach. It is a buttressed monastery and the loopholes are still visible on the eastern flank. Significant ruins, of great archaeological value, are still standing.

Agia Sofia Monastery is located close to Armeni village, Sitia region by Handras plateau, not far away from the historical site of the Venetian town of Etia. This interesting monastic complex survives in its largest part in ruins.

The Holy Monastery of the Virgin Mary ‘Panagia Exakousti’ outside the village of Malles is located on the northwestern side of the county of Ierapetra, with panoramic views over the Libyan Sea in a lush and peaceful environment, away from residential areas.

The twin-naved church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) and the Ascension of the Lord is built on a steep site in the location Gourni 1km west from Stavros village and 10km north of Ierapetra Town.

The Monastery of Sotiras Monastery is located in an area called Pano Karkasa, 3km west of Anatoli village and 16km far from Ierapetra Town, on the southern slopes of Lasithi Mountains.
