Some 29 kilometres far from Heraklion City at the East, eastern to the holidays village of Hersonissos or Limenas Hersonissou are situated these coves with sandy beaches, open to the Cretan Sea and affected by the northern winds.

Although it’s officially a western suburb of Hersonissos in reality Anisarras is almost cut off from the main town. In recent years, due to it's proximity to Hersonissos tourist development has been quite heavy. Nevertheless Anissaras has retained it’s beauty and tranquillity.

Next door neighbour to big brother Hersonissos it's quite different place. Analipsi, only a stone throw away is like another world alltogether: much more quiet and cosy, with a few taverna's and a supermarket in the beachfront and a few more down in the village itself. It is located 20km east from Heraklion City.

Limanakia beaches are located 26 km east of Heraklion City and close to Hersonissos or Limenas Hersonissou. Limanakia is a collection of tiny, sandy beaches affected by the north winds.

In the western part of the beach of "Analipsi" there is the river mouth of "Aposelemis". The river of "Aposelemis" is a natural border dividing the Municipality of Hersonissos and the Municipality of Gouves.

The spectacular sandy beach in front of the village Kato Gouves, in the Heraklion region, is a popular choice for the visitor who demands a fully organised beach. Offering many activity opportunities such as wind surfing, water skiing, jet skis, banana rings, parasailing and pedalos it is the perfect choice for water sport fans. It also has scuba diving centre!

The Village of Kokkini Hani is a 10 minutes (17km) drive to east from the airport of Heraklion. The village hosts many types of activities directed at visiting tourists any returning each year. Kokkini Hani is typical of the tourist resorts on Crete.

Arina Beach - Kokkini Hani (Vathianos Kambos) famous Sector Beach is a main attraction for locals and tourists to use this golden long sandy beach, which have life guards on duty.

It is an isolated beach 30 kms west from Heraklion city and 60 kms east from Rethymno and only 1 km shore distance west from Fodele beach. There are actually two beaches separated by a small hill.

It is another isolated area at the north coast of Crete between Heraklion city and Rethymno. The beach is located just 1 km west from Korakias Beach, another secluded beach area.

Almyrida or Almirida is a very small village with few houses at the end of a beautiful valley, which has also a very small beach and a small fishing boat harbour. The beach is some 150m west from the harbour and is mostly sandy and partially protected from the north wind.

It is a small remote beach, 36kms eastern from Rethymno and 45kms western from Iraklion, close to the highway. You just need to drive on a dirt track 200m long to the beach.

Skepasti beach area is one of the most isolated and unknown beaches of North Crete between Iraklion and Rethymno. Of course it is unorganized and you reach it through a 2 kms dirt road from Skepasti village, which is located at the highway.
