Mikri poli are 2 small beaches in Lassithi prefecture, 1km east from Makrigialos, East Crete and 35km from Sitia city. The distance from Agios Nikolaos is 62km and 26km from Ierapetra.

Galini is located 47km southeast of Agios Nikolaos and 13km east of Ierapetra. It is a small village, slightly developed, which is built in a lush landscape with pine trees. The coast around the village is full of hidden coves with pebbly beaches, where access is tricky, since only some well-hidden paths lead there.

At Koutsounari area - Village there is one of the longest and prettiest beaches of Ierapetra, with all the tourist facilities. There are a lot of hotels of all classes, bars, and taverns especially at the beach of Koutsounari and Ferma. The place attracts a lot of visitors every year due to the clear sea, awarded with the blue flag by the EEC

Mavros Kolimbos is a tiny village and a beach (village is a large word to decribe it) on the south east coast of the island of Crete between Makrigialos and Achlia Beach, a little east of the town of Ierapetra (18 kilometer).

This magical uninhabited island is just 18km from the resort of Makrigialos, Makrygialos, Makriyalos, on the south east coast of Crete, close to Goudouras (7km). This island can be reached by boat from Makrigialos Harbour daily throughout the summer from about the middle of May, weather permitting.

There are some remains of roman and minoan civilisation on the island.

Ferma is a small village on the southeast coast of Crete, in between Ierapetra and Makrigialos and at a distance of 45 kilometers far from Agios Nikolaos city, with a couple of hotels and taverna's. The beach is not very large and with sand and pebbles.

The isolated beach of Lagada is located 5kms eastern from Makri Yialos and 3 km western from the well know Kapsa Monastery.  The area is undeveloped. The beach has sand and pebbles and it is 400m long. There are some tamarisk trees for shadow if needed.

Goudouras is a well-known fishing village on the Libyan Sea. It is situated to the east of Makrigialos in a unique setting with clean waters and beaches. As well as earning money from fishing and tourism, the local inhabitants have increased their income from the cultivation of out-of-season produce and hot house fruit and vegetables.

Diaskari Beach: The isolated and quiet beach of Diaskari is located just a five-minute drive away or 15 hot minutes walking from the main beach and village of Makrigialos in East Crete on the way to Kapsa - Goudouras.
