On the eastern side of the Gulf of Kissamos, are a couple of quiet beaches at Nopigia. In Nopigia, there is an attractive camping site on the waters edge where you can use the swimming pool, camper or not, for the price of a coffee or snack. Faces north.

17km from Kastelli, between the rugged mountains and the endless blue sea, on the very far western tip of Crete, Sfinari village and beach nestles (situated 20 kilometers far from Kastelli, at the Southwest and 61 kilometers far from Chania) in the folds of olive green hillsides, a haphazard scattering of little white houses and with a main street somewhat shorter than the braking distance of the local bus from Kastelli, which invariably grinds to a halt beyond the last house.

The beach at Keramoti bay, between the beaches of Sfinari in north and Elafonisi to south, can be reached by walking to the edge of the cluster of bamboo, where almost all year round water falls from the natural mountain springs into the sea, offering a wonderful experience of sight and sound.

The islet of Gavdos, opposite Sfakia, is the southern-most border of Greece and Europe. It is 23 nautical miles away from Loutro, right in the middle of the Libyan Sea. Bibliography mentions the existence of 172 inhabitants in the settlements of Kastri, Ambelos,Vabiana and Metochia.

If the visitors wish to stay in Chora Sfakion village all day, they can visit a nice and small beach at the village. You have access to Vrissi beach either by a path of a well built walkway and steps into the deep sea or by steps down to the little Vryssi Beach - or if they wish to soak up the sun, there are sunbeds in cleverly adapted recesses overlooking the sea. 

At a distance of 74 kilometers from Chania at the South, and 2 kilometers far from Chora Sfakion at the West, Ilingas beach is a beautiful pebbly beach with very clear water and a large cave, which may give you some shade, as no other natural shade is available. The beach is not affected by the winds.

Located on the south coast of the region of Chania, very close to Fragokastello fortress, there are three different beaches in the same area. In addition to the pebbly beach to the west and the family friendly beach in front of the castle, there is the "Orthi Ammos" sandy beach 500m east of the castle.

Frangokastello (the castle of the Franks: this Castle was built in 1371, during the four and a half centuries of Venetian rule) is a charming, peaceful and traditional village on the south coast of Crete, 12km east from Chora Sfakion and 20km west of Plakias, and offers splendid sandy beaches. The water is getting deepen very slowly, so this is the ideal spot for parents to let their children play in the sea. Even 50 meters outside in the sea the water is only knee deep.

Kedrodasos is a few hundred metres west of Elafonissi beach in west Crete, one of the most beautiful beaches. A hidden paradise for many years since only few knew how to actually get there. A fantastic place to camp and enjoy some serenity away from the thousands of tourists who invade nearby Elafonissi.

To the west of Paleohora and towards to Krios cape, in a 9 kilometres distance, there are many small gulfs and isolated spots for any preference!
