Drapanias is a seaside village by Kissamos city, west Crete, with some tourist development in recent years, and along the beach road (see Drapanias beach) there are a few cafes and tavernas where you can enjoy a drink or meal by the sea.

Nopigia is a small village on the coast to the west of the rugged Cape Rodopou. The village is typically Greek, a little shabby at first glance, but the perfect place to enjoy the quiet life of Crete.

Sfinari village is situated 20 kilometers far from Kastelli, at the Southwest and 61 kilometers far from Chania and is an ideal place for family and tranquil holidays, far away from the noise and the big crowds as well as next to the lovely sandy/pebble beach. Moreover, the famous Falasarna beach is 15 km far from the village.

The prefecture of Rethymno has its own capital of the exact same title.

Rethymno can be found on the islands northern coast between Heraklion (80km in the eastern side) and Chania (60km on the west).

Episkopi is a principal village of the prefecture and county of Rethimno. It is located at the old national road of Rethimno - Hania, 22.5 km away from the city of Rethimno. The village is built at 120 m a.s.l. overlooking the northern coast of Crete, and the green and fertile valley of Mousselas river.

Gerani is a coastal village 14km away from Chania and only 3km away from Platanias. It's a peaceful and quiet place, where one can relax and at the same time be very close to the popular village of Platanias and 4 km before the village of Maleme, in case one wants to enjoy the fascinating night life.

Agia Marina (9km fron Chania and very close to Platanias), a delightful village situated on the northwest coast of Crete.  Its long sandy beaches and crystal clear waters makes this an ideal holiday location for young and old alike. Why not try jet-skiing, snorkelling, brave a para-flight, take a boat trip or just swim and soak up the sun and relax.

Tavronitis is a traditional farming centre, close to Maleme village and Rodopou peninsula, which has a small tourist industry in the summer months, and is the junction for roads that lead south, west and east. The long bamboo and conifer lined shingle beach with kantinas, sun beds and umbrellas, never gets very busy and it is even easy to find a quiet spot during the summer.

The village of Galatas is located on the hills overlooking the beach of Kalamaki and close to the beach of Agioi Apostoloi (10-15 min walking). This small village have seen quite a development in tourism in the past few years and buildings now go all the way down to the coast. The lower parts are called Kato (low in Greek) Galatas.
