Kastelos village, west Crete is a semi-mountainous village built on the feet of the White Mountains on an altitude of 252 m. It’s named derived from the site it was built (like a castle).

Dramia village is situated on the 45thn km of the old national Road Chania Rethyrnno, on the bank of river Mousela. The name comes from the ancient city of Ydramia or Ydramio which was situated on a neighboring hill.

Koufi, a small village in the Municipality of Lappaion, of the prefecture and county of Milopotamos -  Rethimno, and is built on a hill with an impressive view in all directions.

The village of Elos, built at an altitude of 560 m. It is located 57 kms from Hania, in Kastelli or Kissamos region,  and is full of chestnut trees, and flowery gardens. The main products of the village are chestnuts sold all over Crete, honey and handicrafts.

n a distance of 27 kilometers from Rethymnon northwest of Psiloritis and at an altitude of 300 meters there is the picturesque village of Margarites, famous for the making of handmade creations which has been developed by its inhabitants since prehistoric times.

The picturesque village Chromonastiri is located in the area Perdiki Metochi, near the west Psiloritis mountain ranges, only 12 kilometres away from the North coast of Rethymnon. The village is listed as a historical monument.

The village is located 8.2 km south of Hania at 100m a.s.l. 2 km from the road to the plateau of Omalos. The whole community of Varipetro used to be a feud belonging to the well-known feudal lord Mario Petros.
