The Knosano Gorge (or gorge of Saint Eirini) is the continuation of Mount Giouchta. The Kourtaliotiko Gorge (Greek: Κουρταλιώτικο Φαράγγι), also known as the Asomatos Gorge (Greek: Φαράγγι Ασώματου), is a gorge on the southern side of the western part of the island of Crete. It is situated where the Kourtaliotiko River flows southwards between the mountains of Kouroupa and Xiron.

Platania Gorge by Platania Village is a unique trail on Psiloritis mountain, with impressive cliffs, vertical limestone rocks, rock roofs and caves. It is recommended for experienced mountaineers, although the first part of the trek is quite easy, even for children who are physically fit.
