Ziros-Chandras-Katelionas-Voila
This hiking or bike route unfolds from the heights or Plateau of Ziros, located 600 metres above sea level and to the northwest. Ziros - Chandras plateau is located at Lassithi prefecture, 25km south from Sitia. Springtime is the optimal time here for discoveries of botanical interest. The route towards Chandras to the west is made easier with your back to the morning sun.

The ferry drives from Gythion - Peloponissos (three times the week) to the harbor of Kastelli Kissamou (lodging; bus connection to Hania). The E4 on Crete forks in Sougia in Northern and southern parts.

From Askifou to Livada, on the E4 trail: When I go walking into the Lefka Ori, West Crete, and I do several times a year, I often come to think about how "civilized" some parts feel compared to others. The western (Omalos, Melindaou) and southern (Katsiveli, Roussies) areas feel "civilized", so that when I finally get there, coming from the north or east I feel some kind of relief - Now I'm safe!

The starting point of the trail is the dirt road which starts 50 meters after the cross-road in Kampos Doxarou village leading to Vossakos monastery. A parking place exist at the central church of the village, next to the main road. Finishing point: The same as the starting point
