The first hidden beach after Ferma settlement, 15 km east of Ierapetra and 42km southwest from Sitia, is Elena beach and is located before Agia Fotia beach.

The name Asprolithos (white stones) derives from the white pebbles which can be found at the beach. Asprolithos beach is a picturesque sand and pebble beach in the southeast coast of Crete in between Kalo Nero (which means “Good Water”) settlement and very close to Goudouras village, 12km east of the tourist resort of Makrigialos and close to the Kapsa Monastery.

Kalo Nero is a small coastal settlement between Makrigialos and Kapsa Monastery. By taking the road from Lagada Beach to Goudouras , you will reach Kalo Nero beach and several other small coves and beaches which are often deserted and there are no facilities on the beaches.

About 700m east of South Chrissi beach at Chrissi Island, south of Ierapetra city, you can find another pebble/sand beach which is Mikronisi beach. Oposite the beach and 500m far, you see the Mikronisi island, a rocky islet which covers 11,7 hectares.  The waters around the small island and on to the Mikronisi beach are shallow.

Pourgonero beach lies in the west edge (1km distance from Tsoutsouros on the way to Keratokampos) of the cove of Tsoutsouros. The distance from Heraklion city is 709km.

Beach Plakaki: Is the last beach before you reach the Grameno beaches, 5km west of Paleochora in southwest Crete, Chania prefecture.

The beach of Koutsouras is situated at a distance of 55 kilometers far from Agios Nikolaos, 35km away from Sitia on the way to Ierapetra, which is seat of the Makris Gialos municipality, at the Southeast and 20 kilometers eastern to Ierapetra, in front of the homonymous village, with some 800 permanent residents. The beach is pebbly and well protected from the north winds.

Vatalos is a relatively big and quiet sandy beach close to Fragokastelo beach and between Sfakia and Frangokastello, south west Crete.

The beach Filaki is located on the south coast of Crete, close to Chora Sfakion village and 79km south from Chania town.

To get to the beach, at about 500 m before entering Chora Sfakion you’ll see a road to the left which takes you to Hotel Vritomartis.

For people that like to see more closeby beaches in Kalives or Almirida area, there are some other options. In the east next to the village of Kalives (1km to east and 1km west of Almirida beach) are the two (small) beaches of Kera, one sandy and one - the one where the church is - more a pebble beach.

Koutelos is a small and quiet peeble beach under the village Nomikiana between Sfakia and Frangokastello, south west Crete.

This is the sea-side area north to the village of Kalamaki (between Kommos or Commos Beach and Kokinos Pirgos), before the military airport, and is located 68km south of Heraklion.

The northern section of the Messara bay is occupied by the Katalyki or Kataliki sandy beach, which is probably one of the most pleasant beaches of the area, with its several fish tavernas, greek bars and sunbeds.

In the western part of the beach of "Analipsi" there is the river mouth of "Aposelemis". The river of "Aposelemis" is a natural border dividing the Municipality of Hersonissos and the Municipality of Gouves.

It is an isolated beach 30 kms west from Heraklion city and 60 kms east from Rethymno and only 1 km shore distance west from Fodele beach. There are actually two beaches separated by a small hill.
